Contribuez aux traductions de l'appli via l'outil Weblate / Contribute to the app's translations via Weblate

Suite à la publication de l’app sur F-Droid, j’ai reçu des demandes de traduction de la part de 3 personnes originaires du Royaume-Uni, d’Afrique du Sud et Allemagne.

Elles m’ont demandé s’il était possible de traduire l’application en anglais, et @bjoern a même proposé de traduire l’app en allemand

J’ai donc installé l’outil libre Weblate, qui permet de faire les traductions de manière communautaire.

Voici les étapes pour contribuer :

• créer un compte sur Weblate : https://weblate.the-gate.fr
• puis cliquer sur Projects > Browse all projects > g8-superapp, ou rendez-vous directement sur cette page : https://weblate.the-gate.fr/projects/g8-superapp/
• choisissez la langue vers laquelle vous souhaitez traduire : anglais ou allemand (vous pouvez ajouter une autre langue si besoin en cliquant sur le “+” à côté de “Langue”)

• cliquez sur “Untranslated strings”

• Indiquez la traduction dans le champ dédié, puis cliquez “Save and continue”. Si vous avez un doute sur le contexte ou sur la traduction, n’hésitez-pas à poser la question ici sur le forum, ou à choisir “Suggest” plutôt que “Save”.

Le fait que l’appli soit traduite ne la rendra pas directement utilisable dans tous les pays, car il faudra certainement prendre en compte des spécificités de différents pays en terme de facturation - n’hésitez-pas à remonter vos besoins (je travaille déjà sur la possibilité de définir d’autres taux de TVA).

Contribute to translations

Following the app’s publication on F-Droid, I received translation requests from 3 people from the United Kingdom, South Africa and Germany. They asked me if it was possible to translate the app into English, and @bjoern even offered to translate it into German

So I installed the free tool Weblate, which allows community-driven translations. Here are the steps if you’d like to contribute:

• create an account on Weblate : https://weblate.the-gate.fr

• Click on Projects > Browse all projects > g8-superapp, or go directly to this page: https://weblate.the-gate.fr/projects/g8-superapp/

• choose the language you want to translate into: English or German (you can add another language if needed by clicking the « + » next to « Language »)

• click on « Untranslated strings »
  

  

• Enter the translation in the dedicated field, then click « Save and continue ». If you’re unsure about the context or the translation, feel free to ask here on the forum, or choose « Suggest » rather than « Save ».

Translating the app won’t make it directly usable in every countries, as there can be specificities in terms of invoice structure - please don’t hesitate to share your needs (I’m already working on the ability to define other VAT rates).
